4 Jan, 2563\/2020 MYANMAR: Myanmar Government announces the names of outstanding monks and laypersons to confer religious titles yearly on the special occasion of Independence Day. In this year 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Theppavaramethi, Vice Rector for Administration and Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai), Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs, are going to receive \u201cAggamah\u0101pa\u1e47\u1e0dita\u201d titles conferred by Republic of the Union of Myanmar.<\/h3>\n

Additionally Ven. Dr. Seng Hurng Narinda, Director, International Relations Division, MCU, is also announced to receive the religious title of \u201cMah\u0101ganthav\u0101cakapa\u1e47\u1e0dita\u201d respectively.<\/h3>\n

Yearly Myanmar Government confers Religious Buddhist Titles to the monks, nuns, and laypersons who are outstanding to work for the Buddhism. The titles are of Pariyatti, Tipitakdhara Dhammabhandagarika, Academic instruction, Dhammakatika, Religious propagation, Kammapatthana and Sasananuggaha. In this year, 2020, Religious Buddhist Titles are to confer for 515 persons including monks, nuns and layperson as well from within and abroad. There are 9 countries such as Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Korea, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and USA who are conferred to Burmese Buddhist titles announcing on 4 January, 2563\/2020 honoring the 72nd<\/sup> Anniversary Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.<\/h3>\n
