On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 6:00 AM, Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, Assistant Abbot of Wat Rajasittharam Rajaworavihara, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs, and Director of the Bharat Studies Center at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), on behalf of Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmawatcharatheeracharn, Rector of MCU, bid farewell to Venerable Master Jian Da, Deputy Abbot of Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Taiwan, at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.<\/div>\n

Venerable Master Jian Da, a revered spiritual friend, had traveled from Chung Tai Chan Monastery to Wat Rajasittharam to pay his respects and strengthen the bonds of friendship. This visit followed the Vice Rector\u2019s visit to Chung Tai Chan Monastery in October, where he fostered similar goodwill.<\/div>\n

Following his visit to Thailand, Venerable Master Jian Da and his delegation were scheduled to travel to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka from December 3\u20139, 2024, to engage with the Sri Lankan Sangha and nurture interfaith ties. The Vice Rector assigned Venerable Ariyaratana, an MCU disciple, to accompany the delegation and assist with their journey and religious activities in Sri Lanka.<\/div>\n

Before departing, on behalf of the Sangha of Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Venerable Master Jian Da presented a donation of 20,000 THB to support the construction of the ordination hall at Wat Na Khuean. The donation was received by Venerable Chumpol Chutipanyo, Abbot of Wat Na Khuean, on behalf of the temple\u2019s Sangha and committee.<\/div>\n

The Vice Rector expressed heartfelt gratitude to Venerable Master Jian Da for his gracious visit to Wat Rajasittharam and offered blessings for his successful religious mission in Sri Lanka. In return, Venerable Master Jian Da thanked the Vice Rector for the warm hospitality and kind arrangements, which greatly facilitated his visit and upcoming journey.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
