Ashok Wangdi, First Secretary (Consular) of the Embassy of India in Bangkok, accompanied by Ms. Anuttama Ganguly, Secretary of the Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi, India, and Dr. Syamma Prasad Mookerjee from the Research Foundation of VIF, paid a courtesy visit to Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs and Director of the Bharat Studies Center at MCU, at the meeting hall of Dhammaduta College and the International Relations Division, MCU, Ayutthaya.<\/div>\n

On this occasion, Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno expressed his a warm welcome to the First Secretary of the Embassy of India and his team for their kind visit. Discussions were held regarding the preparations for the Inauguration Ceremony of the Bharat Studies Center, scheduled to take place on March 20, 2025. Further consultations were made on potential scholarship programs to support MCU personnel and students in pursuing higher education at various universities in India.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Additionally, the Secretary of the Vivekananda International Foundation expressed interest in fostering collaboration between the Bharat Studies Center and the foundation, particularly in the fields of education and philosophy.<\/div>\n

The First Secretary of the Embassy of India conveyed his appreciation to Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno for accepting the invitation to serve as a distinguished speaker for an English-language lecture at the main auditorium of Silpakorn University, Wang Tha Phra Campus, Bangkok. He also extended his gratitude to Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, in his capacity as Director of the Bharat Studies Center, for co-hosting the international conference \u201cSamvad IV: Global Hindu-Buddhist Initiative for Conflict Avoidance and Environmental Consciousness \u2013 The Century of Dhamma: A Call for Universal Responsibility and Interdependent Sustainability\u201d, to be held from February 14\u201317, 2025, at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/div>\n
