On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 9:30 AM, Mr. K. Ashok Wangdi, First Secretary (Consular) of the Embassy of India in Bangkok, along with Ms. Anuttama Ganguly, Secretary of the Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi, India, and Dr. Syamma Prasad Mookerjee from the Research Foundation of VIF, paid a courtesy visit to Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs and Director of the Bharat Studies Center, at the meeting hall of Dhammaduta College and the International Relations Division, MCU, Ayutthaya.<\/div>\n

Later, at 10:30 AM, Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno led the delegation, including the First Secretary of the Embassy of India and the Secretary of the Vivekananda International Foundation, on a tour of the Bharat Studies Center at MCU.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On this occasion, Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno expressed his a warm welcome to the First Secretary of the Embassy of India and his team for their visit. He also discussed preparations for the Inauguration Ceremony of the Bharat Studies Center, scheduled for March 20, 2025, and explored opportunities for scholarship programs to support MCU personnel and students in pursuing further studies at universities in India.<\/div>\n

Additionally, the Secretary of the Vivekananda International Foundation shared thoughts on collaborative initiatives between the Bharat Studies Center and the foundation, focusing on education and philosophy.<\/div>\n

The First Secretary of the Embassy of India thanked Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno for accepting the invitation to serve as a distinguished speaker for an English-language lecture at the main auditorium of Silpakorn University, Wang Tha Phra Campus, Bangkok. He also expressed appreciation for Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, in his role as Director of the Bharat Studies Center, for co-hosting the upcoming international conference, \u201cSamvad IV: Global Hindu-Buddhist Initiative for Conflict Avoidance and Environmental Consciousness \u2013 The Century of Dhamma: A Call for Universal Responsibility and Interdependent Sustainability,\u201d to be held from February 14\u201317, 2025, at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/div>\n
