On Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs, Dhammaduta College, International Relations Division, and Bharat Studies Center, MCU, presided over a meeting with executives, faculty members, and staff at the Meeting Room of Dhammaduta College and the International Relations Division, MCU, Ayutthaya.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
On this occasion, the Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs assigned responsibilities to the staff of Dhammaduta College, Bharat Studies Center, and the International Relations Division in preparation for several significant upcoming events:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1. Participation in \u201cSamvad IV: Global Hindu Buddhist Initiative for Conflict Avoidance and Environment Consciousness \u2013 The Century of Dhamma \u2013 Call for Universal Responsibility and Interdependent Sustainability,\u201d organized by The Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) in association with Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), Thailand, and the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), from February 14\u201317, 2025.<\/div>\n
2. Welcoming the delegation of Sangha members and representatives of the Government of the People\u2019s Republic of China, who will visit MCU on February 14, 2025, to receive the sacred relics of the Buddha for enshrinement in China.<\/div>\n
3. Welcoming the delegation from the Government of India and 80 university rectors from various institutions across India, scheduled to visit MCU on February 15, 2025.<\/div>\n
4. Preparing for the visit of the Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs and the executive team to Guangzhou, China, from February 15\u201318, 2025, upon the invitation of the Supreme Sangha Leader of Guangzhou.<\/div>\n
5. Organizing the 31st Annual General Meeting of the Dhammaduta Training Program Committee at Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit, Bangkok, on February 21, 2025.<\/div>\n
6. Preparing for the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MCU and the English Base for Buddhist Exchange, Buddhist Association of China, on February 25, 2025.<\/div>\n
7. Arrangements for the inauguration of the Graduate Studies Classroom at Dhammaduta College on March 17, 2025, the opening of the Bharat Studies Center on March 20, 2025, and the signing of an MoU between Dhammaduta College, MCU, and the Southeast Asian Studies Center of Kyoto University, Japan, on March 20, 2025.<\/div>\n
8. Conducting a site visit to the Hong Kong Buddhist Institute, which has requested to become an affiliated institution of MCU, from April 4\u20136, 2025.<\/div>\n
9. A goodwill visit to Beijing, China, by the Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs, upon the invitation of the Chinese Sangha, in April 2025.<\/div>\n
10. Preparations for the 31st Dhammaduta Bhikkhu Training Program, the Householder Dhammaduta Training Program in the USA (May 29\u201330, 2025), the 4th Overseas Householder Dhammaduta Training Program at Wat Buddhapadipa, London, UK (September 20\u201321, 2025), the 1st International Dhammaduta Training Program (June 28\u201330, 2025), and the 1st Young Dhammaduta Training Program (August 2025).<\/div>\n
11. Launching basic Japanese and Chinese language training programs for Dhammaduta Bhikkhus in July 2025.<\/div>\n
12. Organizing a special training program on ceremonial procedures and protocols for Dhammaduta Bhikkhus in September 2025.<\/div>\n
13. A goodwill visit to New Delhi, India, to strengthen relations with Delhi University and other universities in India.<\/div>\n
