MCU Joins Opening A Ceremony of Dharmayatra in 5 Mekong River Basin Countries

15th October, 2562/2019 CHAINGRAI: There was an Inauguration of the 2nd Dharmaytra for the 5th Lands of the Mekong River Basin Countries as Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.

The opening ceremony is at Wat Phrathat Pha Ngao, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand, which is led by Most Venerable Somdet Phramahathirajarn, Wat Yannawa, Bangkok. There are many Sanghas, distinguished guests, and local people to join this event.

In this occasion, Phra Sophonvachirabhorn, (Sawai), Vice Rector for Foreign affairs, MCU, is together with administers, lecturers and staff of MCU to join this ceremony as well.

16th October, 2562/2019. They are together working through the friendship bridge across northern Thai border town of  Mae Sai district in Thailand and Tachileik district in Myanmar processing to Kyaing Tong, Shan State, Myanmar distancing over 150 Kilometer.

The 5-Country Dharma project is important to the Buddhists of 5 countries because they have shared unity, unity with mind, committed to serving the Buddha during 15-31 October, 2562/2019
