On 24 October 2020, Phra Sophonvachiraborn (Sawai Chotiko), Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs, together with administrators, lecturers and staff of MCU joined a cremation ceremony of Mrs. But Prachantasen, an 85-year-old mother of Phramaha Surasak Pachantaseno, Asst. Prof. Dr., Director of Language Institute of MCU, a committee member of Dhammaduta Training Programme at Samakkhidhammaram temple, Ban Phai, Khon Kaen.
The cremation ceremony was led by the chairman from the Sangha, Phra Rajvisuddhisobhon, the Abbot of Ratchasittharam temple, and the Lay chairman, Prof. Dr. Watchara Ngamchitcharoen, a Member of University council of MCU, Chairman of Member of Academic Position.
