On Sunday 20 December 2020, Foreign Affairs of MCU held the program “Visiting Campus, Buddhist College, and Personnel’s Families”. The aims are to encourage personnel and students of MCU and to study a local culture and tradition.
The program was led by Phra Sophonvichirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko) Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs, along with Phra Sang Hurng Narindo, Dr., Assistant to the Rector, Phrakhruvinaithon Sumut Thavaradhammo, Asst. Prof, Dr., Director of Dhammaduta College, Phramaha Kosol Therapanyo, Director of International Relations Division, Administrators, Lecturers and Staff of Dhammaduta College and International Relations Division including Buddhist Sunday School. The Activities are as followed:
At 11.00 a.m., the group visited the birthplace of Phramaha Thongkeb yanapalo, Dr., Lecturer of Dhammaduta College at 113, Lumkhao sub-district, Noungkhayang district, Uthaithani province.
At 2.00 p.m., the group visited Uthai Thani Buddhist College of MCU. On this occasion, Phra Sophonvachirabhorn delivered remarks to the B.A. students of Uthai Thani Buddhist College, MCU on the 2020 Meditation Retreat Program at the Buddhist Center of Uthai Thani Sangha province, Nong Khun Chat Temple, Nong Chang District, Uthai Thani Province. Moreover, Vice-Rector of the group offered donation funds of 10,000 baht to the student meditation retreat program.
In this occasion, Phraraj-uthaisobhorn, Director of Uthai Thani Buddhist College, MCU, Sangha Ecclesiastical Provincial Governor of Uthai Thani, the abbot of Nong Khun Chat Temple, welcomed the group.
At 5.00 p.m., the group visited and paid respect to Phra Buddha Chinnarat and the body of Phrarajphrammayan (Vira Thavaro) known as Lunag Pho Rusilingdam at Thasung temple, Nam Sum sub-district, Muang district, Uthai Thani province.
