The Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU attending the Sixth World Buddhist Forum

Venerable Assistant Prof.PM.Surasak Paccantaseno, The Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs  and  The Chairman of Mahayana Studies Center of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University-Thailand has attended the Sixth World Buddhist Forum held by Buddhist Association of China at Ningbo, Zhejiang, China on 14-16 October 2024.

The Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of MCU  is invited to attend The Sixth World Buddhist Forum by Buddhist Association of China and accepted to deliver speech in the Conference and also invited to attend the Tree-planting Event : Building Joyful Affinities.

The Sixth World Buddhist Forum is held from October 15 to 17, 2024 at Mount Xuedou in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China.Under the theme of “Hand in Hand for Coexistence”, this Forum will include an opening ceremony, a main forum, sub-forums, an online seminar, a seminar on TV,a blessing ceremony, a closing ceremony, and various related activities.

The Forum will explore Buddhism’s wisdom of inclusiveness, its spiritual essence, Dharma lineage transmission, scripture collation, social responsibility, art, non-duality, equality, and ideas of Humanistic Buddhism. It aims to promote the Buddhist teachings of compassion and peace and to encourage the practice of Buddhist values such as wisdom, equality, non-duality, harmony, and altruism. The Forum seeks to foster mutual respect, harmonious coexistence, and learning among different cultures and beliefs. It also aims to contribute Buddhist wisdom and strength to the realization of the’Three Global Initiatives”and the creation of a community with a share future of mankind.
