พระธรรมาจารย์เจี้ยนหวิ่น เจ้าอาวาสวัดจงไถซาน กรุงเทพมหานคร พร้อมด้วยพระธรรมาจารย์เจี้ยนเฉิน พระธรรมาจารย์เจี้ยนฉิว พระธรรมาจารย์เจี้ยนเหมี่ยน พระธรรมาจารย์เจี้ยนจิ้น และคณะกรรมการบริหารวัดจงไถซาน มีความสนใจประวัติศาสตร์ พัฒนาการและความเจริญรุ่งเรืองของพระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาท มหายาน วัชรยานและศาสนาฮินดูในภาคพื้นอุษาอาคเนย์ จากอดีตสู่ปัจจุบัน
นับแต่มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัยและวัดจงไถซาน ได้เจริญสัมพันธไมตรีต่อกัน โดยลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MoU) กัน เมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๕ จากนั้น มจร และวัดจงไถซาน ได้ร่วมกันทำงานส่งเสริมการศึกษา การเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาและการทำนุบำรุงพระพุทธศาสนามาตามลำดับ
โครงการทัศนศึกษาศิลปวัฒนธรรมและศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์พระพุทธศาสนาในอุษาคเนย์ นี้ จัดโดยวิทยาลัยพระธรรมทูตและกองวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ร่วมกับวัดจงไถซาน กรุงเทพมหานคร ระหว่างวันที่ ๓-๔ มกราคม ๒๕๖๘ ณ อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พิมาย และ อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พนมรุ้ง และ วันที่ ๕-๗ มกราคม ๒๕๖๘ ณ ปราสาทนครวัด ปราสาทนครธม ปราสาทบันทายศรี ปราสาทพระขรรค์ ปราสาทตาพรหม พนมบาเค็ง แห่ง ราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา

On Monday, January 6, 2025, at 9:45 a.m., Venerable Phramaha Surasak Paccantaseno, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs, Acting Director of the Bharat Studies Center, MCU, together with Venerable Master Jian Hui, Abbot of Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Bangkok, led a delegation comprising executives from the Dhammaduta College, ASEAN Studies Center, International Relations Division, and the administrative committee of Chung Tai Chan Monastery to visit Baphuon Temple, Angkor Thom, Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs, acting as the Director of the Bharat Studies Center, MCU, and Venerable Master Jian Hui, Abbot of Chung Tai Chan Monastery, along with the delegation from Dhammaduta College, ASEAN Studies Center, International Relations Division, and the executive committee of Chung Tai Chan Monastery, traveled to the Kingdom of Cambodia to strengthen relations with Cambodian Sangha and study the art, culture, history, and development of Theravāda Buddhism, Mahāyāna Buddhism, Vajrayāna Buddhism, and Brahmanism-Hinduism in Southeast Asia from January 5–7, 2025.
Venerable Master Jian Hui, together with Venerable Master Jian Chen, Venerable Master Jian Qiu, Venerable Master Jian Mian, Venerable Master Jian Jin, and the executive committee of Chung Tai Chan Monastery, expressed a deep interest in the history, development, and flourishing of Theravāda, Mahāyāna, and Vajrayāna Buddhism, as well as Hinduism in Southeast Asia, from the past to the present.
Since the establishment of relations between Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) and Chung Tai Chan Monastery, which began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 29, 2022, MCU and Chung Tai Chan Monastery have continuously collaborated in promoting education, spreading the Dhamma, and supporting Buddhism.
This cultural and historical study program on Buddhism in Southeast Asia was organized by Dhammaduta College and the International Relations Division, in collaboration with Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Bangkok. The program took place from January 3–4, 2025, at the Phimai Historical Park and Phanom Rung Historical Park, and from January 5–7, 2025, at Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Banteay Srei, Preah Khan Temple, Ta Prohm Temple, Phnom Bakheng, in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
In addition, the Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs will lead the executives of Dhammaduta College, ASEAN Studies Center, and International Relations Division to pay respects to Samdach Preah Brahmaratanamuni PIN-SEM Siresuvanno, Supreme Advisor of the Board Sangha Committee, Sangha House Theravāda member of Cambodian Buddhism, to strengthen relations on January 6, 2025.
This auspicious journey was graced by the presence of Phra Khru Sutaratanabundit, Director of the Dhammaduta College; Venerable Phramaha Jirawat Kantavano, Director of the ASEAN Studies Center; Venerable Phramaha Kosol Thirapanjo, Director of the International Relations Division; Mr. Thanin Meas, International Relations Officer; and Ms. Paweena Singkhankha, International Relations Officer of MCU, who joined the delegation on this significant occasion.
