23rd October 2563/2020 MCU: King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day is observed every year across the country and around the world on 23rd October to mark the passing of King Rama V. The day in Thai is referred to as Wan Piyamaharaj (วันปิยมหาราช), using the revered King’s given title of Monarch Beloved by the People.
Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University also organized a ceremony on the occasion of Piyamaharaj Rama V Memorial Day at Vipassana building, MCU, Ayutthaya.
Phra Theppawaramethi, Assoc. Prof. Dr., Vice Rector for Administration, Representative of the Rector, presided over a merit-making ceremony in dedication to King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V).
Moreover Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko), Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs, together with Phra Seng Hurng Narindo, Dr., Assistant to the Rector for Foreign Affairs Phrakhruvinaithon Samut Thavaradhammo, Dr., Director of Dhammaduta College Phramaha Sakchai Kovido, Acting Director, Office of Academic Affairs, Dhammaduta College, administrators, lecturers and Staff of MCU joined in the ceremony.
Mr. Soravat Parakkamodom, Foreign Relations Officer and Mr. Sirodom Vachiravaraporn, General Administration Officer on behalf of Dhammaduta Collage and International Relations Division, held joint a ceremony to lay a wreath in honour of King Chulalongkorn the Great at King Chulalongkorn Statue in front of Tipitaka hall, MCU, Ayutthaya.
