12th December 2563/2020: at 13:00 MCU: Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University convocation ceremony was held on the first day at the 48th Birthday of the Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Conference Hall. Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Rajapariyatkavi, Rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, reported to His Holiness Somdet Phrawannarat, who has been assigned by His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, Supreme Patriarch, in this year has a total of 4,254 recipients of 309 Ph.D., 641 M.A and 3,304 B.A. respectively.
After the arrival of His Holiness Somdet Phrawannarat, Abbot of Wat Bowonniwesvihan, Bangkok, committee of the Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand, he was welcomed to pay respect by MCU executive administers team of University council members, distinguished guests, officers, and graduates.
However, since at the beginning of the year, Myanmar Sanghas & the Government of Republic of the Union of Myanmar conferred the religious titles to as executive administers of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University that Ven. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Theppawaramethi, and Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko), were honored in the position “Agga Maha Pandita” but due to the Covid-19 situation, it is impossible for traveling to Myanmar to receive.
Therefore, before the MCU graduation convocation ceremony started, H.E. U. Myo Myint Than, Myanmar, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Thailand served as Minister of Religion and Culture of Myanmar. The ceremony was presented to confer the religious titles to the administrators of the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University of Ven. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Theppawaramethi, Vice-Rector for Administration, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Acting Abbot of Mahachulalongkorn Rachutis and Phra Sophonvachirabhorn (Sawai Chotiko), Vice-Rector for Foreign Affair, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Assistant Abbot of Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, Bangkok

After having been finished of MCU convocation ceremony, Ven. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phra Theppawaramethi invited MCU executive administrators, Myanmar ambassador’s group, and devotees to join a celebration of the “Agga Maha Pandita” Title at Uposatha hall, Mahachulalongkorn Rachutis temple, MCU, Ayutthaya.
